Ghanaian Clients Eye Smart Water Metering to Modernize Utilities
Release Time:2025-07-22
With growing urban populations and rising water demand, Ghana's water utilities are under pressure to modernize. To this end, a delegation from Ghana visited Shengda Water Meter Co., Ltd. to explore options for upgrading to smart water metering systems.
Currently, most of Ghana’s households rely on mechanical water meters. However, these devices often lead to disputes due to inaccurate readings and human errors in data collection. The clients expressed their need for a solution that brings transparency, automation, and better customer service.
At our production base, we presented Shengda’s range of smart water meters, including ultrasonic and IC card prepaid types. These meters not only measure flow with high precision but also allow for real-time data transmission to utility servers. Our cloud platform enables remote billing, alarm push notifications, and tamper alerts—all of which help utilities manage operations more efficiently.
The delegation was especially interested in our successful cases in Africa, where Shengda smart meters have been deployed in schools, residential areas, and municipal pipelines. They also appreciated our readiness to offer technical support, software customization, and training to ensure smooth deployment in Ghana.
The visit was not just about technology—it was also about trust. By walking through our R&D labs and testing facilities, the Ghanaian team gained confidence in Shengda’s quality control and manufacturing strength.
Smart water meters are not just devices—they are part of a larger vision for sustainable water management. We’re proud to support Ghana in this transition and look forward to long-term cooperation.
