The EU issued the Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) to regulate the EU measuring instruments market, eliminate trade barriers within the EU, and better protect consumers.The mid directive defines ten categories of measuring instruments, including water meters, gas meters and volume conversion equipment, electricity meters, heat meters, meters, exhaust gas analyzers, automatic weighing instruments, etc., covering 95% of the measuring instruments sold in the EU market.The manufacturer of measuring instruments shall determine the corresponding technical requirements and conformity assessment according to the classification principle of MID instruments.
