Faults of electromagnetic flow meter(1)
2022-03-15
Some common faults of electromagnetic flowmeter are caused by the damage of the components of the instrument itself, and some are caused by improper installation, environmental conditions, fluid characteristics and other factors, such as display fluctuation, precision decline and even instrument damage. It can generally be divided into two types: faults during installation and commissioning and faults during normal operation.
Once the faults during installation and commissioning are eliminated, they will generally not appear again under the same conditions in the future. Common faults during commissioning are generally caused by improper installation, environmental interference and fluid characteristics.
1. The installation failure is usually caused by the incorrect installation position of the electromagnetic flow sensor, such as installing the sensor at the piping point where gas is easy to accumulate; Or installed on a vertical pipe from top to bottom, and the fluid measurement is in a non full pipe state
2.Environmental interference is usually current interference, strong electromagnetic wave interference, large motor magnetic field interference, etc. Current interference is usually solved by separate grounding protection. Electromagnetic wave interference is generally introduced through signal cables and is usually protected by single-layer or multi-layer shielding.
3. The measured liquid contains uniformly distributed micro bubbles, which usually does not affect the normal operation of the electromagnetic flowmeter, but with the increase of bubbles, the output signal of the electromagnetic flowmeter will fluctuate. If the bubbles are large enough to cover the whole electrode surface, the bubbles flowing through the electrode will make the output signal fluctuate more.
